"DOSLID" is a leading biomedical research center for translational medicine in Ukraine, specializing in the study of the biological mechanisms of mental health in the context of war.
We conduct in-depth investigations into the consequences of psychological trauma, particularly post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD (CPTSD), major depressive disorder, and anxiety spectrum conditions.

A distinct focus of our research activity lies in examining the impact of chronic stress, particularly combat-related, on biological aging. We aim to understand the long-term effects of trauma and identify strategies to slow down age-related changes.
Specifically, we employ multi-omic laboratory methods to analyze epigenetic changes (DNA methylation), biomarkers of senescent cells, disruptions in neuroplasticity, and systemic inflammatory responses.
These approaches enable us to study the mechanisms of accelerated aging induced by psychological trauma and identify molecular targets for potential therapeutic interventions.
We are committed to advancing evidence-based medicine and integrating cutting-edge diagnostic and analytical tools into clinical practice. Through innovations in research methodology, digital data processing, and interdisciplinary approaches, we are shaping new pathways for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders — both in Ukraine and globally.

We explore the fundamental biological mechanisms underlying the onset and treatment of trauma-related disorders, with a special focus on war-related injuries and their consequences. Innovative solutions in mental health research and clinical practice.
We engage international researchers and institutions in joint projects, promoting the exchange of knowledge, resources, and expertise in the field of mental health.
We develop cutting-edge methods for diagnosing, monitoring, and personalizing the treatment of mental health disorders by integrating modern digital solutions, biomarkers, artificial intelligence, and more into our work.
We promote a global understanding of mental health challenges by ensuring access to a diverse patient population and seeking effective solutions to support and improve their quality of life.

UNITY is a Ukrainian interdisciplinary research initiative that combines clinical, psychometric, and biological approaches to comprehensively study the effects of military trauma on mental and physical health throughout life.
The initiative investigates the impact of full-scale war in Ukraine on military personnel and civilians, adults and children, combining mental health assessments with analyses of neurobiological, metabolic, and immune processes. This integrated approach provides a deeper understanding of how psychological trauma interacts with the body, development, and recovery processes.
UNITY was created as a Ukrainian scientific platform in collaboration with international partners, with a focus on building an evidence base for clinical care, rehabilitation, and long-term solutions in the field of mental health in wartime and post-war recovery.
Main areas of work:
RESEARCH PROJECT
The DOSLID scientific team translated the International Trauma Interview (ITI) — a newly developed clinical tool for diagnosing PTSD and CPTSD based on ICD-11 criteria — into Ukrainian. The translation has been approved by the instrument's original developers. Currently, the team is conducting a validation study within the Ukrainian population.
SCIENTIFIC STUDY
Project duration – 1.5 years
As of early 2025:
UNITY is implemented in collaboration with Ukrainian and international academic, clinical, and research institutions.
We are open to collaboration with scientists, clinicians, institutions, and public organizations that share our scientific and ethical principles.
SCIENTIFIC STUDY
DOSLID was actively involved in the research team of this study, contributing to:
The team carried out a thorough selection of tools for data collection and analysis, ensuring compliance with contemporary scientific and clinical research standards.
Additionally, the research team successfully obtained ethical committee approval, confirming adherence to ethical principles and the protection of participants' rights throughout the study.
Advancing modern methods for PTSD diagnosis, including biomarkers and other cutting-edge approaches.
Research and development of effective support methods for people with PTSD.
Enhancing understanding and awareness of PTSD among the general public, medical professionals, and mental health specialists.
Ensuring equal access to diagnosis and treatment for everyone in need of support.
The conference was attended by 100 participants and 300 online listeners.
Among the speakers:
The conference gathered 150 in-person participants and approximately 500 online attendees.
DOSLID seeks to collaborate with researchers and institutions worldwide to foster innovation and improve the lives of individuals affected by PTSD, major depressive disorder (MDD), and anxiety disorders.
In this regard, we are actively interested in conducting research within the framework of national and international grant programs.
